When a Cosmic Interferes

The Universe Breaks

Reality did not fracture all at once.

It bulged first — strained — as a cosmic entity tried to enter a universe it could never contain. Then, as if moving through molasses, it began to break. Not like thunder, but like a vase collapsing in time-lapse. Except this was reality itself, scattering across all times and places at once.

John did not truly see this.

He was on all fours, whimpering like a child who had glimpsed eternity — endlessness, nothing, everything. A human mind would have burst within the first second. But John was not only human.

No one noticed that time itself stopped to speak to him.

It told him he was running out of time.
